Simple yet overlooked – interview tips we may miss but are important

Research the company and the job:

Learn as much as you can about the company and the role you're applying for. This will help you tailor your responses to the interviewer's questions and demonstrate that you're genuinely interested in the position.

Practice common interview questions:

It's important to practice answering common interview questions so you feel confident and prepared during the actual interview. Especially regarding your own skills or any possible gaps in your CV.

Dress appropriately and accordingly:

Make sure your appearance is neat and tidy. This will help you make a good first impression. Take the company’s culture into account, some like it more formal, some – not so formal. It does matter!

Arrive early:

Try to be at the interview location 10-15 minutes early. This will give you time to compose yourself, review your notes, and ensure you're calm and collected before the interview.

Be confident and positive:

Remember to speak clearly and confidently during the interview, and maintain a positive attitude throughout the process.

Be honest:

Speak openly about your skills, experience, and qualifications. If you don't know the answer to a question, it's better to say so than to try to fake it.

Follow up:

After the interview, send a thank-you note or email to the interviewer to show your appreciation for their time and reiterate your interest in the position.
