Functional Safety Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Functional Safety Engineer to join our client's team in Sofia - a Leading international provider of innovative automotive lighting solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Planning and coordination of functional safety activities in the development phase of the project lifecycle
• Point out project risks concerning functional safety
• Continuous improvement of the functional safety process
• Inform line manager in case of new findings concerning functional safety
• Contact person within the project team for all functional safety issues
• Documentation of lessons learned and best practices
• Central contact for functional safety in the project (internal, customer, supplier)
• Moderation of meetings to work on functional safety requirements
• Definition of methods and tools to be used in the project
• Planning and coordination of functional safety related reviews, audits and assessments in the project
• Tracking of functional safety issues in the project
• Participation in change management (if applicable)
• Participation in RFQs (if applicable)
• Report to Project Manager/Program Manager and/or Project Owner
• Report to GM Functional Safety & Cybersecurity Engineering and/or Regional Lead
• Continuous improvement of functional safety document templates and processes
• Writing of functional safety statements to clarify the ZKW point of view
• Review and assess ZKW and Tier2 functional safety documentation (at the supplier
  site)
• Attendance of working groups and conferences to ensure state of the art functional
  safety processes
• Approve/reject functional safety work products
• Management and delegation of functional safety tasks in the project in coordination
  with Project Manager.
  

Requirements:

• Knowledge about product development processes
• Good understanding of the system (product)
• Knowledge of quality management
• Established knowledge regarding automotive relevant functional safety standards (ISO26262)
• Knowledge of safety management methods (e.g. Hazard-Analysis, FMEA, FTA)
• Advanced English skills
