Senior Accountant

On behalf of one of our clients, we are currently looking for a Sr Accountant to join the company.

Experience & Requirements

• Good knowledge of Bulgarian accounting legislation and NAS
• 6+ years of accounting experience
• Relevant education in Accounting/Finance/Economics (min. bachelors degree)
• Excellent knowledge of Excel
• Experience in manufacturing will be considered as an advantage
• Good level of English

Responsibilities

• Supervise and ensure the accurate preparation of the companys monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Support the accurate and timely execution of external audits, by providing all the required data and reports
• Validate and approve all the monthly and yearly tax liabilities, e.g. VAT, CIT, PIT etc.
• Develop and perform accounting control functions, ensuring that all sub-ledgers are reconciled monthly, e.g. Inventory reconciliation, AP/AR
• Establish and implement accounting practices and financial control policies and procedures to ensure that the accounting system is properly maintained
• Ensure that tax risks resulting from changes in the tax legislation or tax audit practices are properly addressed
• Lead a team of accountants with the possibility to expand
• Ability to make decisions and self-motivate
• Cooperate with other group entities financial staff. Actively participate in intracompany reconciliation, as well as in the preparation of consolidation financial statements on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
