Cyber Security Engineer

For a client of ours -  a Japanese manufacturer and distributor of electric motors we are looking for experienced Security Engineer.. Their products are found in hard-disk drivers, electric appliances, automobiles and commercial and manufacturing equipment. The company has the largest global market share for the tiny spindle motors that power hard-disk drives.

MISSION OF THE ROLE:

As a cybersecurity engineer You will be involved in interesting development and serial production projects of automotive embedded systems You perform all product related cybersecurity tasks defined in ISO 21434. You will closely cooperate with cybersecurity manager and the information security officer.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Analyze customer technical requirements in the context of automotive cybersecurity;
• Product security concept/architecture development within the given frames and state of the art.

• Perform Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment (TARA) of Embedded Automotive Systems;
• Consulting for Security aspects in design and process issues throughout the product design, development, and post-launch phases
• Identify and analyze of security weaknesses;
• Create cyber security requirements for system, hardware and software;
• Support creation of cybersecurity policies, rules and processes
• Create and operate a cybersecurity incident reporting system
• Coordinating security topics with SW, System and Validation & Verification teams.

REQUIRED COMPETENCES AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• University degree in engineering;

• Excellent knowledge of English;

• 1+ years in cybersecurity;

• 1+ years in automotive embedded system development in the system or software fields

• Knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic key management concepts;

• Embedded systems architecture understanding to perform a detailed analysis of software and hardware features in order to secure embedded devices;

• Knowledge of road vehicle cybersecurity according to ISO 21434 and UNECE 155 and 156;

• Software development experience in embedded C/C++
