Invoice Verification Management Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Invoice Verification Management Specialist to join our client's team in Sofia, which is a leading international provider of innovative automotive lighting solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Proper invoice verification and invoice processing
  • Verification of incoming invoices
  • VAT assessment of the business cases in close coordination with coordination with Manager ACI, SM Accounting and Group SM Taxes & IC 
  • Compliance with approval requirements
  • Posting of business transactions according to the chart of accounts
  • Correspondence with suppliers
  • Creation of price or quantity difference debits
  • Maintenance of GRNI accounts, prepaid expenses, BANF review and approval
  • Validation of incoming invoices by use of software "Index+"
  • Work in the "Classifier" (CLS First Levels Support, reminder, verifying and processing of invoices, etc.)
  • Supporting continuous process optimization
  • Support in the preparation of financial statements (in particular cut-off topics such as accrual of missing incoming invoices, goods in transit, intercompany, prepaid expenses, bonus accruals)
  • Support with external and internal audits (e.g. FFG, JA audit, internal audit, tax audit, etc.)
  • Support in taking up and implementing optimization and improvement topics in invoice verification (enhancement of systems, processes, etc.
  • Support in the implementation of reviews / quality checks in the area of invoice verification
  • Supporting documentation of processes and workflows

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in invoice verification, accounts payable, or related financial roles.
  • Experience with VAT assessment and tax compliance.
  • Familiarity with chart of accounts and general ledger postings.
  • Knowledge of VAT regulations and their application to business cases.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office applications.
  • Experience in workflow validation and invoice processing optimization.
