A leading global supplier of innovative, premium systems and electronics for the automotive industry. Join them in establishing a new Shared Services Center in Sofia, Bulgaria to support their international operations.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Lead to oversee the establishment of a newly formed Shared Services Center. This pivotal role will manage the entire setup process, ensuring efficient operations from day one. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing similar projects, strong leadership and organizational skills.
The Project Lead will lead a team of 20 (initially) with plans to expand to 30+ in the future.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the project to establish the Shared Services Center, from planning and design to implementation and operational launch.
- Oversee all aspects of the project, including budgeting, staffing, facility setup, and process design.
- Coordinate with various internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment with global standards and objectives.
- Develop and manage the operational framework for the center, ensuring that it supports the organizations strategic goals.
- Lead and guide a diverse team of professionals in areas such as Sales Back Office, Commodity Buying, Order Management, Accounting, and SAP Administration.
- Monitor and report on project progress, identifying potential risks and implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal company standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and performance.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in operations management, particularly in establishing shared service centers.
- Experience managing a team of 20+ people across multiple functions, such as Sales, Procurement, Accounting, and SAP Administration.
- Previous experience working in or with companies in the automotive industry, particularly in systems and electronics, is a strong advantage.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a growing and diverse team.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in German is a plus but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with management frameworks and process optimization methodologies is preferred.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. A Masters degree is a plus.
- At least 4-6 years of experience in a leadership role, with a focus on project management or operations management.
- Experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry, particularly with premium or specialized systems, will be highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
