Senior Project Manager (12 months contract with option for extension)

For a client of ours - a system integrator working for the English-speaking countries in South Africa, we are looking for an experienced Project Manager who can join the team:

Responsibilities:

Responsibility execute the project scope according to the contract, schedule, budget and available resources.
Scope of activities
- Activity management and coordination internal team, customer teams, vendors and business partners.
- Project operations and logistics.
- Internal administration.
The position requires excellent interpersonal skills in order to successfully manage and motivate the internal team as well as the customer and the vendors teams.
The job is in a multicultural environment with many specifics and challenges.

Knowledge and Experience:

Engineering or practical engineering degree;

5 years of project management experience;

Budget management experience;

Power office suite and project management tools;

International experience preferably outside Europe.
The majority of the time (85%) this position requires a stay in Zimbabwe, South Africa .

Personal Characteristics:

Practical and solution orientation.
Ability to work with multiple tasks and assign priorities on the fly.
Self-motivated and hard-working during periods of pressure.
Friendly person, easy communication with peers, customers and vendors.
Fluent English verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to explain and present clearly and effectively.
Good Time management under tight schedules, organized and reliable
Flexible and open to changes on the fly.
The candidate must be mature, independent, fast thinker and agile.
